Went to visit the hothouses in Aarhus Botanical Gardens the other day – definitely worth a visit. Here, you can take a walk through some of Earth’s climate zones, while looking at all the fascinating plants. Once you’ve finished exploring, you can sit down in the great cafe, which serves coffee, cake, sandwiches, etc.

5 Favorite Books

Uncategorized

Okay, here’s a confession: I love reading. I’m not the kind of person that always has their nose buried in a book, but when I have the time, I love to sit down and read for a bit. I feel like reading can be one of the most relaxing things – you get to escape into another world, even if just for 15 minutes…

Here are five of my favorite books… Not necessarily in chronological order, but five of my favorites, nonetheless.

  • “It” – Alexa Chung. Part autobiography, part picture collage, all in all a wonderful book.
  • “The Perks of being a Wallflower” – Stephen Chbosky. Introverted 16-year-old Charlie’s world of first dates, mixtapes, family drama, and new friends.
  • “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time” – Mark Haddon. When Christopher, who has Asperger’s Syndrome, finds a neighbor’s dog murdered he sets out on a journey that turns his whole world upside down.
  • “Tales from the Secret Annexe” – Anne Frank. A collection of short stories, daydreams and essays written by Anne Frank.
  • “Make Your Own Luck” – Kate Moross. In this guide, graphic designer Kate Moross offers insider’s tips on how to make it in a highly competitive field, and tells her story of how her career hasn’t always been a smooth ride.

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree…

Uncategorized

This weekend, my family and I went to go buy our Christmas tree, and after we had brought it home, of course it had to be decorated.

There are many types of ornaments, (the classic ones that everyone has, the weird – but cute – ones, and the ridiculous ones that you honestly don’t really know why are there). Here are some pictures of some of my favorite ornaments on our Christmas tree.

My top 5 things about December

Uncategorized

Long time no blog!

It’s December now, and I thought I would share a list of my top 5 favorite things about this joyful month. They are in random order, I love them all.

1. Snow

Hasn’t come yet where I live, but I have hope.

2. Hot chocolate

Who doesn’t love hot chocolate on cold winter days? My personal favorite is Trader Joe’s Peppermint Hot Chocolate, but any hot chocolate will do.

3. Food

Christmas cookies, turkey, you name it!

4. Family

Since it’s Christmas-time, I get to see a lot of family that I don’t see all that often.

5. Music

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!

Christmas music is the best! All the classic christmas songs that you can listen to every year without getting tired of them.

I hope that you have all had a lovely December so far!
